UnknownChina is a travel company based in Shanghai, offering tailor-made programs for individuals, private groups and educational institutions. We arrange special-interest trips in the areas of culture, outdoor activities and natural history throughout China. Our programs do not focus on sightseeing, but concentrate on the understanding of cultural issues, local trades and the traditional life of the people.
Vision
We have learned that traveling becomes more meaningful and memorable when serving a certain purpose. When visiting a new city or region we have to ask ourselves where our interest lies apart from seeing the historical monuments. What is really special about this place?
Our aim is to show you China's living culture, where tradition is as strong as ever, while its people strive for a modern life. Using a specific theme as a guideline, we want to give you unique insights into the matters that constitute Chinese society and daily life.
